The materials used are suggested by the company based on the established requirements to ensure quality, but ultimately, it is the client who selects and approves the materials. The warranty varies according to the original manufacturer’s warranty for the parts or materials involved in the manufacturing of the product.
SCANFORM S.A.S. (hereinafter SCANFORM) guarantees the structural part of workstations, conference tables, and meeting tables. against manufacturing defects for a period of five (5) years. The warranty period shall be counted from the date of the invoice proving purchase, this being the only valid document for submitting a claim, and it being understood that said period shall not apply to the products whose specific warranties are detailed below, even if they are included in any of the above.
Furniture, such as workstations, conference tables, and meeting tables, should not be pushed, dragged, or dropped, as the surfaces may become loose or cracked and the levelers may become bent. In such cases, SCANFORM will not honor the warranty, as the damage is attributable to the customer, whether caused directly by the customer, by one of their employees or dependents, or by a third party.
For lock systems, slides, levelers, handles, hinges, pneumatic cylinders, and wheels, andthe applicable warranty period shall apply to the part that has a manufacturing defect, and not to the furniture as a whole. For the purposes of this warranty, a manufacturing defect shall be understood to be any deviation from the design specifications that may occur during the production or construction of the item and that results in a defect, fragility, or deficiency in the product. SCANFORM guarantees its quality and proper functioning for one (1) year from the date of the invoice proving purchase, understanding that this warranty period is the period granted by the manufacturer of these
Due to natural variations in wood veneer, slight changes in color and grain may occur. Please note that light affects wood and that sunlight can discolor or change its appearance. For this reason, SCANFORM recommends that products be kept away from such influences, as indicated in this document and the maintenance manual. In such cases, SCANFORM will not honor the warranty as the damage is attributable to the customer, whether caused directly by the customer, by an employee or agent of the customer, or by a third party.
For furniture such as chairs and other upholstered items, the warranty is valid for three (3) years against manufacturing defects for internal parts, structures, and frames. Due to variations in our suppliers’ industrial processes, SCANFORM cannot guarantee the same shade in textiles and other upholstery materials between batches. Textiles have a one (1) year warranty, taking into account the manufacturers’ specifications. The warranty period shall be counted from the date of the invoice proving the purchase, which is the only valid document for filing a claim.
Damage or alterations caused to products by moisture or direct exposure to water will not be covered by the warranty, except in cases where SCANFORM expressly states that such products are intended for outdoor use. Damage to metal structures exposed to external corrosion factors—such as wind, rain, salinity, chemical cleaning agents, among others—that typically affect the strength, durability, and aesthetics of such elements will also not be covered by the warranty.
SCANFORM reserves the right to replace or repair products that, under normal use, present any defect within the stipulated time frame, for which the concept of the original manufacturer of the material involved in the manufacture of the product will be taken into account.
None of the above warranties cover products that are damaged due to negligence, mishandling, abuse, accident, or that have been modified by third parties. For this reason, and as an integral part of the warranties, we suggest that you read the maintenance manual provided by SCANFORM with the product, as SCANFORM will not honor the warranty or be liable for accelerated deterioration of the products or damage when these correspond to acts performed in contravention of the recommendations issued.
